THE POWER OF THINKING LIKE AN OUTSIDER
Lessons from Earl Nightingale & the Path of the Sovereign Man
One of my favourite authors is a man by the name of Earl Nightingale.
He was a powerful voice in the world of human character, personal development, and masculine self-reliance — long before it was popular to talk about such things.
Two of his quotes have stuck with me for years. Not just as nice words, but as laws to live by:
“Whatever the majority of people is doing, under any given circumstances, if you do the exact opposite, you will probably never make another mistake as long as you live.”
And this one:
“Successful people follow independent paths. They break away from the crowd. They join a smaller crowd. They don’t have the television on all day long. They use their time constructively. It’s easier to win. There is less competition up there — and the view is better.”
Read that again.
The man wasn't selling hype — he was revealing a strategy for life.

Earl often spoke about independence, critical thinking, and forging your own path.
